Crime Prevention Boost a Win for our Local Community
Community safety is set to be improved after the Andrews Labor Government provided close to $60,000 to St Albans and Sunshine Shopping precincts to reduce crime.
The funding will enable the St Albans Shopping precinct to install security lighting which will reduce crime in the local shopping area.
Funding was also provided for the Sunshine Shopping precinct to install external lighting at the shops on Hampshire Road in Sunshine.
Member for St Albans, Natalie Suleyman MP today congratulated both the St Albans Business Association and Sunshine Business Association for their commitment to making the St Albans and Sunshine shopping precincts safe and secure for all.
The Andrews Government’s Community Safety Fund is providing more than $800,000 across Victoria to reduce local crime and improve community safety through over 100 practical and innovative projects.
The Fund is part of the Andrews Government’s $5.8 million investment in community crime prevention, aimed at tackling crime and its root causes.
